A blast from the prop

When Author Emmet D. Edwards Jr was a young boy, his grade school teachers consistently told him he could be anything he wanted if he was willing to work for it. Edwards took that advice to heart joining the army as a paratrooper, completing over 300 jumps.
Edward’s book “Time in the Prop Blast” is a chronicle of his extraordinarily ordinary life, “Time in the Prop Blast” describes the moments that define a person, from his time serving in the United States Army to meeting his wife Ruth, this book is a nostalgic trip.

Although he didn’t finish high school, he went on to achieve a bachelor’s and master’s degree after progressing quickly through the ranks in the United States Army.
“We seem to have come to a judgment about people that says, ‘a good accountant would never jump from an airplane,’” Edwards said. “I was one of the best accountants I ever knew and I have made more parachute jumps than anyone else I know.”
