Chamber series set for Kiggins Theatre

New season features violinist Sarah Kwak, cellist Nancy Ives, pianists Cary Lewis and Dr. Michael C. Liu, violinist Anthea Kreston, cellist Jason Duckles, narrator Edmund Stone and VSO members.
The 2013-2014 VSO’s Chamber Music Series arrives at one of the area’s most storied theaters when the Kiggins Theatre begins its alliance with The Vancouver Symphony. To welcome the return of the Chamber Series for its star-studded third season, The VSO is offering a special pricing deal now through October 1, 2013.
Starting on October 13, 2013, The Kiggins Theater, located at 1101 Main Street in downtown Vancouver, will house the third season of The VSO’s Chamber Music Series. The collaboration with the Kiggins is part of the City’s substantial effort to revitalize downtown Vancouver.
“We are excited about performing at the Kiggins and being able to extend this special offer to all music lovers,” said VSO Board Chair Kathy McDonald. “This season the Chamber Music Series features VSO musicians as well as renowned guest artists.  If you haven’t had a chance to see us in person, these prices may be just the ticket.”
The VSO Chamber Series was founded by Dr. Michael C. Liu, who is co-artistic director, along with Dr. Shakhman and is generously supported by Dr. Liu and Nien-Wei Hsiao.
