Creatives to spark growth and innovation

PORTLAND – Nominations are being accepted now for the Portland Fashion and Style Awards, presented by NW College, on October 26, 2013 at the Ainsworth Event Center (also known as The Scottish Rite). Showcasing the best of Portland’s very own fashion talents and giving thanks to the hard working individuals making their mark in the film, television, fashion and beauty industry will make this a memorable night for all.
Sole owner and executive producer, Ann Akre, and producer, Jaileenee Eubanks, are teaming for the 2nd year in a row to showcase Portland at its finest. “Portland is quickly becoming recognized for nurturing a culture where people in creative industries can grow and thrive,” explained Akre. “With so much talent in fashion and style coming from our region, it’s only natural that we hold an event to spotlight and celebrate the best of the best.”
Michelle Lesniak Franklin, the 2013 winner of Bravo TV’s Project Runway competition, will appear at the Portland Fashion and Style Awards as a Special Guest Presenter. A total of four Project Runway winners have hailed from the Portland and Vancouver area, providing testament to the creative talents that the Northwest breeds.
