Today’s program includes Ann Rackl on violin and Selina Chu on piano performing “Rondo (K 373)” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as well as the following sections of “Sonata in A Major” by César Franck:
    III. Recitativo-Fantasia
    IV. Allegretto poco mosso
The second half of the program features “Sea Pictures,” songs by Sir Edward Elgar based on poetry. The pieces will be performed by Regina Thomas, soprano, and accompanied by Johanna Mastenbrook on piano.  The songs are:
“Sea Slumber Song” by Roden Noel
“In Haven (Capri)” by Carolyn Alice Elgar
“Sabbath Morning at Sea” by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
“The Swimmer” by Adam Lindsay Gordon
Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.
The program starts at 12 noon sharp. The 11am meetup time allows for an optional coffee and conversation stop before the program for those of us who are interested.
Meet us in the Library’s Chocolati Cafe (upstairs on Level 3 near the 5th Avenue entrance) anytime after about 11am (I’ll be there a little earlier). We’ll walk downstairs at 11:50am so we can go into the auditorium together.
