Eaglecrest Ski Area on Douglas Island near Juneau is offering specially priced beginner packages at its snow sports school during December and January in honor of national Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month.
The school has both adult and youth programs and offers instructions on Nordic and alpine skiing. Additionally, Eaglecrest participates in the Freedom Pass program. The special ski pass connects thirteen skiing and snowboarding mountains from Alaska to Maine, offering pass holders access to all participating mountains when they purchase an unlimited season pass at one of the partner mountains.
Eaglecrest offers accessible transportation at low fares for visitors headed to the mountain for the day.
