I was thinking how much fun it would be to have a snazzy breakfast at the Oregon Zoo and then walk around with my sons for a couple of hours. And there voila! Such a wonderful outing exists.
From 9:00am to 01:00pm on May 8, the family can enjoy a big meal together at the Cascade Crest Banquet Center and if they choose, take a waddle or stroll about the zoo.
Families can honor mom with a delicious spread featuring made-to-order omelets, house-cured lox and bagels and other brunch favorites on Mom’s Day, May 8 at the Oregon Zoo. Brunch prices do not include zoo admission (which is not required to attend the buffet). Members, as always, may attend the zoo for free.
Afterward, guests may want to walk off their meal with a visit to some of the zoo’s notable moms and families — like caracal Peggy and her frisky 5-month-old kittens, or Asian elephant Rose-Tu, mom to 3-year-old Lily and her big brother, Samudra.
