New ballroom, hotel upgrade graces Juneau waterfront

Juneau waterfront
The waterfront restaurant Hangar on the Wharf in Juneau will soon be home to a new ballroom as well as a newly renovated kitchen.
The new ballroom space will be able to accommodate meetings, receptions and large parties with live music or a DJ with its stage area. The restaurant will also offer on-site catering for all ballroom events. Once the kitchen’s renovation is complete, patrons can head to the restaurant for half-priced happy hour appetizers or try some new selections from the largest dinner menu in town.
New offerings include a healthy cauliflower steak basted with cumin and cilantro and served with brown rice, and for dessert, s’mores in a mason jar with graham cracker, a fudge brownie, melted chocolate and toasted marshmallows.
On Jan. 6, 2017, downtown Juneau’s Goldbelt Hotel location will officially transition to Four Points by Sheraton Juneau, featuring 106 renovated rooms with brand new bathrooms, a fitness center, business center, complimentary Wi-Fi and on-site restaurant, McGivney’s Sports Bar and Grill.
The hotel is located near the water with mountain and waterfront views of Gastineau Channel.
