Northwesterner finds matches for singles

Samantha
Sameera Sullivan has a unique background that has led her to the professional matchmaking industry. After working in the recruitment industry for two years, Sameera founded Lasting Connections in 2012. As CEO and Founder, Sameera dedicates herself towards finding the perfect fit for the job, or in this case, perfect matches for her single clients.
Sameera grew up in Texas and always had a gift for bringing people together, and offering relationship advice. As a young adult Sameera moved to Portland to pursue her studies at Portland State University where she received a Dual Masters in Education and Adult Psychology, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Capella. After her studies, Sameera worked as a top executive recruiter in the aerospace industry, filling hard-to-fill positions. After her career in recruitment, Sameera switched gears and worked at a matchmaking agency where she learned that matchmaking isn’t found on matching two clients together, but working with one client and recruiting a match for them specifically. It was this idea that triggered Sameera’s foundation for Lasting Connections.
Having garnered a reputation for matching up her friends and family, Sameera left her career in recruitment behind and delved into her entrepreneurial journey by turning this passion into a business. Having operated within the spheres of top executives and community leaders, her connections have led to many introductions for happy couples and a success rate of 95%.
Sameera has worked with the Junior League in Seattle, and many organizations that help women who have been victims of domestic violence. Sameera also works with one woman per month, pro-bono, in order to empower them and boost self-confidence. As part of Lasting Connections, Sameera helps these women with image consulting and coaching.
