Pink Martini featuring China Forbes will perform their Latin music, jazz, cabaret and cinema score musical arrangements at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9 to the stage of the Washington Center for the Performing Arts in Olympia.
Pink Martini’s “little orchestra” draws inspiration from the romantic Hollywood musicals of the 1940s and ’50s and crosses genres to make an eclectic, modern sound.
The concert will include popular favorites from the band’s 25 year career as well as songs from their latest release, Je dis oui!, taking the audience on a musical trip around the world from France to Iran, Armenia to South Africa.
Other upcoming Pink Martini performances include April 11 at Pantages Theater in Tacoma and April 13 at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver, Canada.
