For those who have wondered about what a summer of commercial fishing in Alaska would be like, Alaska Commercial Fishing Adventures is the answer.
Guests can take three- to seven-day trips on a commercial fishing boat, the F/V Ocean Wave, focusing on either gillnetting in Lynn Canal or Taku Inlet or power trolling out of Elfin Cove for salmon. Guests will be completely immersed in the commercial fishing process and can be as involved in the fishing operations as they choose — from simply observing to hauling fish onboard and cleaning and icing the day’s catch.
