Whale watching with tasty twist

Whales
Alaska Travel Adventures is offering a new whale watching tour that comes with a tasty twist.
After departing from the downtown pier in Juneau, visitors will be treated to abundant whale sighting opportunities aboard a state-of-the-art, 48-passenger jet boat day cruise in Auke Bay.
Knowledgeable guides will share information about the culture, history and outdoor lifestyle in the region and will assist guests with additional wildlife sightings, including Steller sea lions, bald eagles and a variety of sea birds.
Immediately following the cruise, passengers will experience one of Juneau’s newest restaurants – Pier 49 Seafood Station. Located on the waterfront, passengers will continue to indulge in Alaska’s scenery while enjoying a pound of Bering Sea King crab legs.
Pier 49 Seafood Station, which is slated to open this summer, will be the newest addition to Juneau’s waterfront. Reecia Wilson, the owner of Pier 49 Seafood Station, is looking forward to sharing iconic Alaska seafood dishes – including wild-caught Alaska salmon – with visitors and locals alike. Diners can enjoy a pound of fresh-from-the-dock Bering Sea King crab legs, doused in butter and paired with a refreshing glass of wine or Alaska craft beer. For lighter fare, try dipping a fresh house-baked bread knot in Pier 49’s seafood chowder.
