Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival blossoms each spring

The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival March 18-May 1 blossoms each spring in Woodburn, Oregon, drawing thousands to see acres upon acres of tulips in full bloom.

The owners of the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm have expanded beyond the beautiful tulips, adding a gift shop, café, and family-friendly kids’ area.

In addition to fresh-cut flowers and potted tulips, gardeners can order bulbs for fall planting, and amateur photographers can capture incredible photos – you just can’t go wrong when you get 40 acres (16 ha) of tulips, a windmill, and Mount Hood in the frame.

Tulips are very sensitive to weather and come up when the ground has defrosted. Some come up early at the end of March while others wait until later in April when the ground is warmer. Generally speaking, mid-April typically has the best overlap of color between the early, mid and late blooming tulips.

With 40 acres of tulips, over 100 acres of outdoor space, and activities, the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival is identified as one of the top spring attractions in the state of Oregon.

All tickets must be purchased online for the 2022 festival. Tickets are not available at the gate. For information, visit the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm website.
