Hood River Hops Fest Brings Brews, Music to the Region

Do you enjoy local brews, great music and a fun day? Then, drive east to Hood River for the Hood River Hops Fest on Sat., Sept. 26. Awarded silver medal for Best Beer Festival by the 2015 Willamette Week Oregon Beer Awards, the Fest is an annual celebration of beer’s bitter friend, freshly harvested hops.
Hood River County is surrounded by world-renowned hop growing regions, and since 2003, brewers have gathered each September in downtown Hood River to share their fresh-hop beer creations. This family-friendly event features more than 40 breweries with over 60 fresh hop beers.
This year, the fest announces the addition of the Brewer’s Tent (21+ only). In addition to fresh-hops beer and cider, Hood River Hops Fest features local cuisine, wine from Naked Winery, arts and crafts vendors from the Northwest, a children’s play area, fun contests, and a day-long line-up of live music, with local and regional musicians. Children are welcome throughout the afternoon until 5 PM; in the evening, the venue is open to adults only until closing. Sorry, no pets allowed.
