The Washington Sportsmen’s Show runs Jan. 25-29

ss_headers2The Washington Sportsmen’s Show offers a one-stop shopping experience, with great values on fishing and hunting gear, clothing, camping equipment, sport fishing boats and RV’s. Head to the Puyallup Fairgrounds to meet face-to-face with top professional guides and outfitters, and representatives from leading hunting and fishing lodges and resorts.
With prizes on the line, the show’s “Head & Horns” competition attracts upwards of 200 heads, horns or horn/antler sheds brought to the show by showgoers. The entries are measured and scored by Boone and Crockett and Pope and Young representatives at no charge. Prizes are awarded for all three methods of harvest: rifle, archery and black powder.
The youngsters aren’t left out of the action: the “Kid’s FREE Trout Pond” provides kids 12 and under with the opportunity to catch-and-keep or release two trout. All the gear is provided at no charge—including fishing poles, bait and take-home bags.
Wilderness survival and outdoor safety expert Brett Stoffel makes his Washington Sportsmen’s Show debut. Brett is the Vice President & General Counsel of Emergency Response International, Inc. He regularly conducts classroom and practical field instruction on global survival to U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine personnel operating inside the U.S. as well as in Central and South America. You won’t want to miss it!
The “Camp Cooking Tent” returns as celebrity camp cooks share tasty recipes for easy-to-prepare meals. Stop by and watch one of the chefs prepare tasty, no-fuss recipes in hourly presentations all five days of the show.
