One of my favorites snow sport destinations is a bit of a drive away, but it often has great snow for cross-country and snowshoeing – the Methow Valley.
Head over to northeastern Washington for some uncrowded snow play, budget prices and great après chow. (methowtrails.org)
One of my other fav destinations is Mt. Hood Ski Bowl. This is a great place to try snow tubing with Cosmic Tubing and snowmobiling at the new 70-acre snowmobile rental area nd Collins Lake Resort. (skibowl.com).
