Dancing with local stars

Vancouver, WA – Vancouver resident and 2013 Dancing with the Local Stars competitor Jim Mains has announced an anonymous $15,000 matching gift to his fundraising efforts. Mains has only two weeks until he and eight other local leaders take the stage at the Vancouver Hilton at the annual fundraising event presented by the Fort Vancouver National Trust.
Mains must fundraise and meet the full $15,000 challenge to capitalize on the donation. “This is a great opportunity to help support the Trust’s programs and put myself in a perfect position to be crowned the 2013 Local Stars Champion,” said Jim Mains. “It’s not going to be easy, but I am going to turn to my friends, family, colleagues and community to help me meet this challenge and win.”
Alishia Topper, senior director of development for the Fort Vancouver National Trust said, “We have some true competitors this year and every dancer has been working hard on their dance performances, fundraising, and entrances.” She added, “fundraising is so close between several dancers, the champion is truly going to be decided at 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 7th; every donation will count.”
Donations for the match are encouraged online at by selecting Jim Mains, or by mail at Jim Mains Match, 750 Anderson Street, Vancouver, WA 98661. Contact Alishia Topper, Senior Director of Development at (360) 992-1801 or for more information.
