Green Lake Park Provides Home for Water Sports, Walking

greenlakePath2Get ready for summer, spend some time at Green Lake honing your rowing or paddling skills, walking or running the nearly 3-mile perimeter trail or simply gaze out over the water for some quiet meditation.
Seattle’s Green Lake Park is one of the region’s most popular parks because it’s got everything from beaches and boats to cafés and picnicking. It is located at 7201 E. Greenlake Dr. N, Seattle 98115.
Boat Rentals at Green Lake
Rent a Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Board from Green Lake’s Boat and Coffee House on beautiful Green Lake. It’s easy to learn, a lot of fun and great exercise. We carry Surftech and Jimmy Lewis Stand Up Paddle Boards that you can try and buy. Rent a Paddle Board at $18/hr and call (206) 527-0171
About the Beach
Green Lake has two popular swimming beaches: East Green Lake Beach and West Green Lake Beach. Amenities include a play area for children, bathrooms, basketball courts, swimming rafts, diving boards and lifeguards on duty in the summer. Parking is available at each beach and the park is easily accessible by bicycle.

Beach Features
The beaches offer a number of features and amenities including: swim raft, low board, high board, drinking fountain, restrooms, parking.
Water Events

  • Annually, the Rowing Advisory Council (RAC) hosts three major rowing regattas on Green Lake.
  • The Frostbite Regatta in November, the Green Lake Spring Regatta in April
  • The Summer Rowing Extravaganza in August draw competitors from throughout the Northwest!

The RAC raises funds with each of these events through entry fees and concessions.
Hours of Operation
Open weekends starting in April, then Memorial through Labor Day:
Boat Rentals: 7 days/wk, 9am-6pm*
Coffee Shop: 7 days/wk, 8am-8pm*
*Weather permitting and are subject to change.
Hourly Rates
-Paddle Boards, Kayaks, Canoes, Pedal & Row Boats: $18/hr
-Sailboats: $25/hr
