Pat Moffett has been an internal logistics executive for 40 years.

As a world-renowned, award-winning executive, he was named Long Island’s International Executive of the Year for Long Island (1998), among the Top 20 Logistics Executives in the country (2002), and Man of the Year, Columbia Association of US Customs and Border Protection (2012). A highly decorated Vietnam War Veteran, Moffett is author of the critically acclaimed book Fortunate Soldier.
Following the diagnosis of his beloved wife, Carmen, with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, Moffett dedicated himself to raising awareness and providing support for early-onset caregivers. As part of his mission, he co-founded “Let’s Do Dinner,” which provides support, resources, and a night out for caregivers. He was recognized with the Tikkun Olam (“Repairer of Lives”) award from the Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center for his tireless efforts.
Ice Cream in the Cupboard, which is also available in a Spanish edition, is dedicated to Carmen, who lost her battle with early-onset Alzheimer’s in 2010.
