Plenty of things to do in Redmond

Redmond, Washington is home to technology giants Microsoft and Nintendo of America, but the town near Seattle also has plenty of craft beer options and miles of hiking trails.

Hiking opportunities on more than 1,600 acres of parks includes the Redmond Watershed Preserve and the Farrel-McWhirter Loop Trail, which is a soft service trail suitable for horses and hikers. You can also bike or hike to Luke McRedmond Landing, an open space with a canoe launch and fishing pier, or Marymoor Park where you can tackle the climbing wall, play basketball and tennis and walk your dog in the off-leash dog park.

Entertainment options include the trampoline room, Nerf tag and ninja course at Vertex Arena or geek out at the latest tech experience at Odyssey Virtual Reality Arcade in downtown Redmond. Craft beer aficionados will appreciate the impressive brews at Eastside Beerworks, Black Raven Brewing Company and Mac & Jack’s Brewing Company, which offers free tours and tastings on the weekends.
