Portland Metro Concert Band to perform at David Douglas

The Portland Metro Concert Band, will perform on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at the Howard F. Horner Performing Arts Center (1400 S.E. 130th Ave.) next to the David Douglas High School.
The band is under the direction of Jay Burchak (co-founder of group in 1992) and Jack Mahoney (who directs the East County Community Orchestra also).  Between the two of them, they have over 100-years of directing experience.  Jay is a virtuoso on trumpet with a range that would rival Stan Getz, Doc Severenson and Al Hirt.  All of the musicians are volunteers who play out of love for music.
The Portland Metro Concert Band is an adult band comprised of musicians who enjoy playing music. Members range from college students to retired professionals. The PMCB was formed in 1992 by well known band directors, Fev Pratt and Jay Burchak. The current directors are Jay Burchak and Jack Mahoney.
There’s plenty of free parking; juice, coffee and cookies available in the lobby to pick from during intermission. The event is free.
