Take your sweetheart to the Newport food, wine fest

Just a 2-3 hour drive from Portland, the Newport Seafood & Wine Festival offers food, wine, and crafts for sale. Join the extravaganza Feb. 23-26, 2017. Bring ID, you’ve got to be of a certain age!
According to organizers, the Newport event is the longest, continuous wine competition in the Northwest. If you like to taste wine and pair it with great seafood, this is the bomb for you.
For the last 31 years of the Festival’s forty year history, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Best-In-Show awards have been handed out to the most consistent achievers in a Commercial Wine Competition marked by one strong field after another. This early-in-the-year look at Northwest wines offers clear evidence of which wineries are on track and who to watch at other festival showcases around the country throughout the year.
