Welcome to ActiveLifestylesNW.com.  After five years as publishers of 50plusnorthwest.com, we are rebranding our online presence to reflect the interests of active, mature and adventuresome Northwesteners. Most of our visitors already pursue these interests anyway…so why put an age limit on our audience? Our common interests in pursuing a life of meaning, adventure and leisure is what bonds us together.
Our intent is to zero in on those fortunate adventurers with the time, desire and resources to follow their passion. We will engage in multiple Northwest activities…from trailer boating in the San Juan Islands, hiking the Deschutes River trails in Central Oregon, fishing for salmon at Buoy 10 to shopping for a favorite book at Powell’s in downtown Portland.
Our core group of seasoned authors will bring you timely, original content on all of these activities, and more…including features on Northwest trailer destinations, informative resort reviews, book reports and travel features from a Northwest perspective. You’ll also find features on health and fitness, technology, new book reviews and hiking trail reports. You get the idea? We are people who know how to help you enjoy life in the Northwest.
At the same time, we want to bring you enlightened reports on possible solutions to the environmental problems that endanger the pursuit of these adventures. We are proud to feature the EarthTalk® series with informative, solution-oriented reports on a wide range of environment issues. The series is written and edited by Roddy Scheer and Doug Moss from E – The Environmental Magazine (www.emagazine.com).
And we also support Northwest nonprofit organizations…especially those that benefit seniors, the environment and young children. We know that our visitors will, in general, be high income, involved in many activities and socially motivated to help society…especially these causes. In this vein, each month NWActive Lifestyles will prominently profile a Northwest nonprofit group…with the hope our visitors will support their cause.
