The Children’s Museum of Eastern Oregon located on Main Street in downtown Pendleton invites locals and visitors to come in and play! A not-for-profit play place, it offers a wide range of educational exhibits and activities for children of all ages.
This is the place to expose children to a world of imagination while enlightening their minds to real world learning. It brings classes, camps and other special events to your child with an emphasis in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through the development of fundamental skills and self-expression.  The experiences gained by you and your child at CMEO will set the foundation for a life-time of learning!
As the only children’s museum in all of Eastern Oregon, CMEO hosts over 14,000 visitors a year. In 2009, CMEO was rated by residents in Eastern Oregon, the best museum in the East Oregonian’s “Best of Eastern Oregon” poll.
In rural Eastern Oregon, there is a lack of family oriented places for educational development and interactive play that are more commonly found in urban areas. In addition, due to school cuts, many enrichment activities have been eliminated from our region’s school districts. As the only facility of its kind in our region, CMEO bridges this gap through our educational activities, events and exhibits.
Current Special Exhibit:
Stream Table – Brought to CMEO by a combined effort of the Umatilla Basin Watershed Council, the Department of Environmental Quality, and the Umatilla County Soil and Water Conservation District, our Stream Table is a fun way for kids to learn all about how water impacts our environment.  At the exhibit, children can dig right in, getting their hands messy and discovering how water flow and erosion work.  Along with the Stream Table, the exhibit includes a number of fun, bright posters with plenty of information for the science-minded family!
 Coming Soon:
Noodle Forest – Explore a forest of pool noodles suspended from above as you navigate this stimulating terrain. New sounds and textures are sure to delight.
