Elizabeth Ganji: At a Crossroads

Elizabeth Ganji’s show “At A Crossroads” shows  through May 25at Art on the Boulevard, 210 W. Evergreen Blvd. Suite 300 in  Vancouver.
Elizabeth Ganji’s latest solo show of oil and pastel paintings represents a year of daily painting.  With the profusion of change and events a year can bring, each of these paintings has emerged and met her where she was during that particular moment in time, creating a diverse and well-rounded exhibition.
“I paint in snippets of the day so as not to impede on my other passion: being a wife and mother of two young boys,” said Ganji. “Most days, the painting happens when everyone is still tucked snugly in bed, in those dark early morning hours. When my days begin with art, I am better equipped to put my all into what the day has in store.
I feel blessed to have sprouted from a family brimming with artists and creatives. It was the concurrence of their influence and that of my mother (also an artist) whose encouragement inspired me to pursue art seriously. I am thankful for it each and every day.”
Ganji lives with her husband and two sons in Ridgefield, Washington. She is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and an associate member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast.
Art on the Boulevard is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For info, call 360-750-4499.
