Emerson House Band to perform

The Emerson House Band will perform at 7:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 at Portland Parks and Recreation’s Community Music Center, 3350 SE Francis Street in Portland.
Portland Parks & Recreation presents the concert as part of its low-cost Family Friday Concerts. Concerts are run by volunteers, and all proceeds benefit scholarships and programs at the Community Music Center. The concert is free with a suggested $5 donation. Popcorn, snacks and refreshment will be sold at the door for a minimal price.
The Emerson House Band plays jazz songs of the 30s, folk, bluegrass, soul and blues. Leo and Jerry started playing together at the Emerson House, an Alzheimer’s Care Facility, and then brought on Carson and John to really develop their unique sound, which has been described as “soulful, funky, and contagious.”
Emerson House Band is Leo MacLeod (vocals), Jerry Keefe (guitar, vocals and harmonica), John Hubbard (cello, banjo, guitar and vocals), and Carson Lattimore  (bass, guitar, and vocals). For information, visit http://www.reverbnation.com/emersonhouseband
