Newport, Oregon—The Oregon Coast Aquarium was honored by Lincoln County residents this spring when they named the attraction the “Best Family Entertainment” in the Newport News Times Readers’ Choice Awards.
Hundreds of locals cast their votes on a wide array of topics. According to News Times staff, the annual survey is organized by the News Times to recognize different organizations and people in the community.
The Aquarium’s exhibits and programs consistently earn it recognition as one of the top ten aquariums in the United States, but this award is exceptionally meaningful to Aquarium staff. “The Aquarium is proud to be recognized by our local community for the educational and fun marine science experiences we offer right in their backyard,” said Carrie Lewis, President/CEO of the Aquarium.
