Pacific Northwest artist Andrea Traphagen paints her original watercolors and acrylics in vibrant hues…taking you from fantasy worlds to old world to current times.
With the stroke of a brush and a vivid imagination, Andrea’s paintings transform you into a world of mermaids, dragon flies and old growth forests. She has created an impressive array of art depicting Pacific Northwest landscapes.
Andrea is especially fond of creating brilliant seascapes featuring the mystical world of Mermaids in their deep blue ocean environment. Many of the Mermaid themed paintings are on display at the Mermaid-friendly shop Sea Gypsy Gallery in Astoria, Oregon.
“I would define my work as impressionism with magical realism,” Andrea comments. “Some paintings are pure fantasy while others are realistic with whimsical elements.”
